God’s Heart for All People

Preacher:
Passage: 1 John 4:9

God’s Heart for All People

1 John 4:9

Introduction:

  • Imagine standing on a hilltop at sunrise, watching the light spill over valleys, rivers, and cities you have never visited. The sunlight does not choose where to shine. It touches every corner it can reach. In the same way, God’s love is not selective or limited; it extends to every person, in every place, in every circumstance.
  • From the very beginning of Scripture to the final pages, we see a consistent theme: God’s heart beats for all people. He loved the rebellious Ninevites enough to send Jonah. He welcomed the foreigner Ruth in His family line. He sent His Son not for one nation alone, but for the world.
  • This truth challenges us. It pushes us beyond our comfort zones, our cultural boundaries, and even our personal preferences. If God’s heart is for all people, then our hearts must be shaped to reflect His. Overflowing with compassion, grace, and a willingness to reach those we might otherwise overlook.
  • Today, we will explore what it means to see the world through God’s eyes, to love as He loves, and to live as vessels of His inclusive, redeeming grace.
