Introduction:

  • Isaiah 53:3-5
  • Luke 2:10-11
  • We all carry wounds. Some are visible, etched into our stories by loss, betrayal, disappointment. Others are hidden, buried beneath smiles, tucked away in silence. But whether fresh or long forgotten, our hearts have a way of shaping how we see ourselves, others, and even God.
  • Today, I want to speak to the part of you that is aching. The part that wonders if healing is possible. The part that has been told to “just move on,” but still feels stuck. Because the truth is God does not ask us to hide our pain. He invites us to bring it to Him.
  • Scripture is filled with people who met God in their brokenness: Hannah weeping in the temple, David crying out in the Psalms, the woman at the well carrying shame. And in each story, we see a God who does not turn away but leans in. A god who heals.
  • So, this morning, I invite you to do something brave. To open your heart. To give God your hurts, not because he does not know them, but because he longs to heal them. And when we do, we do not just find relief, we find restoration. We do not just feel better, we become whole.
  • Let us step into that healing together.
