INTRO:
We’ve just seen, in chapters 15 and 16, what happens to those who bear the
mark of the beast. God’s wrath is “poured out” on them. Now, God shows John, in
symbolic pictures, what happens to Babylon, the beast from the sea, and the false
prophet, all of whom symbolize the antichristian forces of the world, which are: the sinful
allure of the world; antichristian powers of the world; and the false religions of the world.
