4 S’s of Discipleship
Sacrifice
Romans 12:1-2
● For the last 2 weeks we have been looking at what is required to be a
Disciple. Specifically looking at what is required for Discipleship.
● I called it the 4 S’s of Discipleship. What are they?
○ Salvation
○ Service
○ Sacrifice
○ Suffering.
● We began by looking at Salvation. We talked about how Salvation is much
more than just getting Salvation (Ephesians 2:8-10).
○ Salvation is a gift from God to never be taken for granted
○ Salvation should be evident by the works we do.
○ Salvation means to live out our faith.
● Last week we explored the Second S of Discipleship: Service (John 13:1-7).
○ We saw a Servant’s Example.
○ And we saw the love and humility shown by Jesus
○ The Cornerstone of Disciple is Love and We should go and serve all
and don’t discriminate.
● Let’s look at our third S of Discipleship: Sacrifice
